Does Body Hair Grow Back In Places Where You've Gotten Inked?

This might sound like a ridiculous question but I wanted to know. I'm interested in getting a dragon tattoo on my upper-back and it was recommended I get my back waxed; for obvious reasons lol so my freakin wearwolf syndrome doesn't get in the way.

I was wondering after I get the ink and when the hair starts to grow back is if it will still grow in the area that's been inked? The many people I've asked said yes, no, maybe, or I don't know (literally those were my answers) so if you do know I'd appreciate your answer. Thanks

YES I have 4 tattoos only one where hair usually grows (my ankle), the other 3 are on my breast, foot and lower back ... I still have to shave my legs where my ankle tattoo is because it grows hair still unfortunatly and the hair is the exact same length and everything as everywhere else on my legs... good luck!!

yes, hair will grow back so long as you don't pick the scabs and get scarring.

I have a tattoo on my leg and the hair does grow back but my husband who also has one on his leg has had no hair re-growth since having the tattoo.I suppose that there isn't really an answer apart from it depends on the individual.

Yup, it grows back. Got any scars? I bet the hair grows back on all but the very worst of them. Hair follicles are pretty persistent, and can grow back through a lot of damage. Tattoos cause very little scarring (if done properly and with good healing), and so hair has no trouble growing back over it.

No need to get waxed; most artists will shave the area right before they start.

Unless your tattoo artist butchers you and you get some horrendous scarring, your hair will grow back as normal.

It generally depends on how and where hair grows on an individual. Unfortunately, I "inherited" hairiness and yes, my hair grows back on my legs ( I have three tats on my ankles). But, I have "peach fuzz" on my arms and it isn't so bad to where you're like, "what the hell is that?!" ~ that hair hasn't grown back since I got my first tattoo on my arm!
