You should probably stop getting haircuts. I'm pretty sure that's supposed to hinder hair growth.

if you are asian, then you should gel your hair. There are many other ways to style your hair. Try to curl the ends of you hair at the back of your head and make sure that the front of your hair at the forehead is curved and barely touched your eyebrows.

Eat well, get plenty of rest, drink lots of water, and that should help.

Hair continues growing even if we don't think it does.

Trimming will not help your hair grow faster, that is just an old wives tale.

your hair color doesn't determine how fast it grows... or what makes it grow. but if you want long hair you have to take care of it! make sure you get it trimmed once a month (to take off any dead ends that might break of or cause it to break off further up ) also lots of deep conditioning! use a comb to comb out wet hair and not a brush. but if you want long hair now and don't want to wait. you can always get extensions! :)

Im going through it too. It should fade a bit, mine faded to a darkish brown. Then you just have to let it grow, getting it cut and layered does help, think about it, your getting closer to the roots ( natural color ) and cutting off the hair dye.

The problem with naturally curly hair is that it does not seem to grow because it shrinks up. If you use a medium bristle brush and brush along your scalp and through your hair this stimulation on your scalp brings blood to the scalp. This increase of blood also brings needed food to the hair foliciles. As we all know the more food the more growth.

your hair grows like 1cm a month

you won't really notice a difference

be patient

- You need to tie your hair up at night with a satin scarf or use a satin pillow case... The reason for that is because the cotton from your pillow cases can suck all of the moisture out of your hair, cause it to become brittle and break.

- Over processing your hair will also cause it to break. Try to stretch it, stretching it is basically going longer without getting a perm. Shoot for 8 weeks, but if you can go longer, do so.

- When you get your next perm, or when you wash your hair next time... TRIM YOUR SPLIT ENDS.

- Wash your hair every week, and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use leave in conditioner, it'll help your hair retain moisture which it needs. Lack of moisture will cause your hair to break.

- Let your hair AIR DRY! Letting your hair air dry, will reduce the damage done to your air. Too much heat can dry your hair out and cause it to break.

- Moisturize DAILY! I moisturize my hair, once in the morning and again before bed, mainly focusing on the ends. Try not to get products that contain mineral oil or petroleum... It you do, don't use it on your scalp and use it sparingly.

- Be sure to tie your hair up with a satin scarf or use a satin pillow case. Cotton will soak the moisture up and out of your hair and it will also cause it to break.

- Deep condition WEEKLY... Some say once a month, but I do so weekly because it helps retain moisture.

- Do a hot oil treatment every 2 weeks

What works for some people, may or may not work for you. You should always keep track of the products you're using along with how your hair reacts to it. Trust me... Some prodicts have worked for others that just did NOT work for me. So, I had to experiment.

Also, the guy above said not to use any products on your hair.. Well, that may work for natural hair, but for relaxed hair... That won't work at all because of them chemicals. It causes hair to dry out.
